The Rejected King

In Luke 4:14–30, Jesus returns to Galilee, teaching in synagogues and gaining popularity. He then returns to Nazareth, where he reads from Isaiah and proclaims the fulfillment of prophecy, declaring his mission to bring good news to the poor and liberty to the oppressed. However, his neighbors react with skepticism and eventual hostility, highlighting the rejection Jesus faces in his hometown.
